Live art. Performance. Installation. Video.

I'm an interdisciplinary artist in Perth, Western Australia. I work across live art, performance, video and installation, and have been presented and produced in galleries, theatres, festivals and site specific contexts.

I'm interested in making work that explores intimacy, trust and proximity - typically participatory, durational and blurring the boundary between performer and spectator. I also try and tackle environmental concerns. Often using humour as a trope to deal with uncomfortable subjects. Past works include: Let’s Make Love, How To Have A 3 Minute Shower, We Will Build Our Own Mountain, and The Booth (video confession booth).

My work has been presented at Proximity Festival, Perth Festival, Dark MOFO, Liveworks Festival, Artshouse, Australian Museum and ArtScience Museum Singapore. I've worked with Mish Grigor, Aphids, pvi collective, and UK artist Amy Sharrocks.

I’m a registered art therapist; I’ve taught video/communication studies at universities; and I’m a member of Perth Playback Theatre.  I studied visual art and acting; then graduated with first class honours in media where I produced and directed several short films that screened and won awards in national/international film festivals.

Over years I’ve been developing a slow brewed interdisciplinary arts practice, beginning with “the booth” (video confession booth, where I was the camera/priest).

I’m inspired by post, Miranda July, Sophie Calle, Christian Thompson, Nan Goldin, Nat Randall/Anna Breckon, Tracey Moffatt, Spike Lee, Angela Goh, David Lynch, Kandinsky and so many more …
